Avon View Girls hosted their annual tournament this past weekend welcoming teams from Halifax, St John, Sackville NB and Middleton.  The Avalanche finished the round robin second in their division with wins over Lockview and Tantramar.  The team fell 4-2 against the undefeated Citadel Phoenix.   

In the semi-final the Avalanche bounced the two time defending champions, Halifax West Warriors with a 3-0 victory.  In the final Avon View was able to avenge their round robin loss, topping the Phoenix 2-1 in an exciting finale.  Congrats to the girls on a great weekend of hockey!
