The Novas are proud to congratulate Duncan Anderson, Hunter MacDonald, and Jack Bell on being selected in the 2025 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Draft!

These three young men—each of whom proudly wore The Novas jersey—have taken another major step in their hockey journeys. Duncan Anderson, our former Captain, Hunter MacDonald, and Jack Bell, a three talented and determined competitors and all made their mark in our program with hard work, talent, and leadership.

We are thrilled to see their dedication recognized at the next level and look forward to following their continued success in major junior hockey.

The Novas proudly congratulate Antigonish native and former player Jacob Hudson on being named Rookie of the Year by the ECHL’s Maine Mariners!

Hudson made an immediate impact in his first professional season, recording 15 goals and 23 assists for 38 points over 61 games — placing him third in team scoring.

Before turning pro, Hudson showcased his talent with the Moncton Wildcats in the QMJHL, where he led the team in scoring during the 2020–21 season with 32 points in 22 games. He continued his development at St. Francis Xavier University, representing the X-Men in U Sports competition.

Jacob’s journey from local standout to professional hockey player is a testament to his dedication and skill. The Novas organization and the local hockey community are incredibly proud of his achievements.
