PEB 11 – CLARE 3

The only league game on Friday, Feb. 17, was between the CSAP rivals the Par-en-Bas Sharks and the Clare Loups. This was the second meeting between the two clubs.

The Sharks won the first meeting and wanted to do the same in their final home game of the season.

After a thank you to their sponsors, fans, and parents the Sharks took the lead quick with a powerplay goal from Caleb d’Entremont. Captain, Carson d’Eon, scored the next two goals in his final game at Mariners Centre. Carson’s line mate Blake Newell got two of his own late in the period.

5-0 going into the second, the Loups scored early in the second, with a goal by Logan Comeau. In a period that saw an exchange of goals, Caleb d’Entremont scored his second of the game for the Sharks.  Ben Lyons scored with a shot from the blue line followed by a short side goal by Nolan Saulnier to put the Sharks up 8-1.

The Loups not giving up scored 2 goals at the end of the period to make the game 8-3. Zach Comeau score, and Logan Comeau got his second of the game.

The teams split the second period 3-3. In the third, Par-en-Bas took advantage of the Loups short bench and got back on the attack and scored 3 unanswered goals by Alyre Richardson, Blake Newell (hat-trick) and Blake Fish. Loups goaltender Cohen Neil played amazing facing over 60 shots.
